Academic Search Elite
A multi-disciplinary database offering full text for more than 2,050 scholarly journals. Covering virtually every area of academic study, it offers full text information for many of it's journals dating as far back as 1985.
American Chemical Society Journal Archives
Provides access to 120 years of the most cited chemistry research. This new online archive lets you search the full text of all titles published by ACS from 1879. The ACS Journal Archives is an online database that is rolling in nature; that is, every year, a new year's worth of content will be added.
American Physical Society Journals
Provides a dependable resource of worldwide developments in the rapidly evolving area of atomic, molecular, and optical physics and related fundamental concepts. The journal contains articles on quantum mechanics including quantum information theory, atomic and molecular structure and dynamics, collisions and interactions (interactions with surfaces and solids), clusters (including fullerenes), atomic and molecular processes in external fields, matter waves (including Bose-Einstein condensation), and quantum optics.
BasicBIOSIS
Focuses on general life science research from around the world. BasicBIOSIS contains coverage of nearly 300 of the most popular life sciences publications as well as meeting reports, reviews, and newspapers.

Britannica Online
Includes the Encyclopedia Britannica, Britannica Concise Encyclopedia, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Collegiate Thesaurus.
EPA Science Inventory
The Science Inventory (SI) is a searchable database of EPA science activities and scientific/technical work products. The Science Inventory provides information about current or recently completed activities, providing a snapshot of what science EPA is conducting in its research laboratories and centers, program and regional offices, and through grants and other assistance agreements to universities and other institutions.
First Gov for Science
Provides public access and a unified search of the government’s vast stores of scientific and technical information. Science.gov is an interagency initiative of 17 U.S. government science organizations within 12 Federal agencies. Two major types of information are included — selected authoritative science Web sites and often hard-to-access scientific databases (specific content varies by database).
Funk and Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia
Provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.
Journal of Physics: Conference Series     Electronic Journal.
Journal of Physics: Conference Series is a new journal providing cost-effective and timely publication of international conferences of the highest quality.
JSTOR Scholarly Journals
Offers back issues and current issues of 117 journals in economics, history, political science, and sociology, as well as in other key fields in the humanities and social sciences. This collection also includes a selection of titles in the more science-oriented fields of ecology, mathematics, and statistics.
NetLibrary
Provides access to 10,912 eBooks and 3,407 publicly accessible eBooks.

Physics Education is a truly international journal. Provides full-text access to 321 journals in the Life Sciences, including Biology, Health, Medicine, and Nutrition.
ScienceDirect
Offers an electronic collection of science, technology and medicine full text journals and bibliographic information. Full-text is available for subscribed journals.
SpringerLink
Complete tables of content, abstracts and full-text articles from more than 650 journals. Full-text available for subscribed journals. May search using keyword or publication title. For article searching, click the Advanced tab next to the top Search Bar and select "Articles by Text" or scroll down to Browse and Explore.
Wilson General Science Full Text
A bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles of at least one column in length from English-language periodicals published in the United States and Great Britain plus the full text of selected periodicals. Periodical coverage includes popular science magazines as well as professional journals. General Science Full Text also covers The New York Times Science Section (published weekly on Tuesday). Abstracting coverage begins with periodicals published in March 1993. Abstracts range from 50 to 300 words and describe the content and scope of the source articles. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.
Wilson Web
Provides a bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles of at least one column in length from English-language periodicals published in the United States and elsewhere plus the full text of selected periodicals. Includes the following indexes: Applied Science and Technology, Art, Biological and Agricultural, Business, Education, General Science, Humanities, Legal, Readers' Guide, and Social Science.
World Data Analyst Online
Offers detailed comparisons around the world, using both the most recent statistics and historical figures. Users can create tables and charts and export data to a spreadsheet for printing. Highlights inlcude: country snapshots, comparative statistics, historical statistics, and ranked statistics.

AstroWeb Astronomy/Astrophysics on the Internet
A collection of pointers to astronomy-related information available on the Internet. The database is maintained by the AstroWeb Consortium, a collaboration involving 9 individuals at 7 institutions.
Eric Weisstein's World of Astronomy
Internet Encyclopedia of Astronomy, includes Atmospheres, Remote sensing, the Solar System, Stars, and an alphabetical index. Portions of the site are still under development.

ChemFinder from CambridgeSoft offers free searching by chemical name, formula, molecular weight, melting points or boiling points, CAS Registry Numbers or chemical structures. Users are asked to register after five searches.
ChemInfo: sources compiled by Gary Wiggins
A collection of chemistry resources maintained by Gary Wiggins, head of the Chemistry Library at Indiana University Libraries Bloomington, from 1976 until 2003. Search this site for information on databases, networking, resource guides, and Chemistry Department instructional materials.

Life Sciences Dictionary
Most of the 8300+ terms on this site deal with biochemistry, biotechnology, botany, cell biology and genetics. We also have some terms relating to ecology, limnology, pharmacology, toxicology and medicine. Don't expect to find common or exotic animals here; there are far too many species to cover even a fraction in a resource like this. However, we've included medically- and biotechnologically-relevant organisms such as bacteria, worms, fungi, and some plants.

These data tables of meteorological elements outline the climatic conditions at major weather observing stations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Pacific Islands.
A Dictionary of Quaternary Acronyms and Abbreviations
This dictionary contains acronyms and abbreviations that are common in Quaternary studies. It includes acronyms for societies (e.g., CAP, GSA), projects (e.g., PAGES, PALE), Government Agencies (e.g., ARC, USGS), and identifiers for radiocarbon and AMS laboratories (e.g., ETH, BGS) and Museum collections (e.g., UCMP) and some often-encountered abbreviations for geographic entities, such as Canadian Provinces (e.g., AB, BC), US states (e.g., MT, WY), and countries (e.g., PRC). It also covers "terms in common use" in earth sciences, such as time divisions or climate-stratigraphic units (e.g., LIA, YD) and dating methods (e.g., AMS, TL). The dictionary has a North American bias, although it does include some terms from other areas of the world.

A tool to view geographic patterns in census data. Thematic Maps are available for Census 2000, the 1990 Census, the Economic Census, and the Population Estimates program.
US Climate-at-a-Glance
Search 108 years of archived weather data for the United States.
Washington Post Historical Weather Data
Temperature and precipitation data for 2,000 cities worldwide is available in their historical database. Among the climate summaries included are Average Temp, Average High/Low Temp, Highest and Lowest Recorded Temp, Average Snowfall, Average Rainfall, and more.
