UCA librarians are here to help you! Use the following options to get recommendations on the best databases to find the articles and books you need, create keywords and search strategies, and evaluate and cite your sources.
If you have:
- a short deadline, are away from campus, it’s late at night, or on the weekend, your best help option is 24/7 Chat with a Librarian. This service lets you chat in real time with a live, trained librarian.
- a short deadline and are on campus during normal business hours, your best help option is to visit the reference desk. Ask to speak to a librarian at the front desk from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. They can answer any questions and work with you. No appointment is necessary.
- a day or two to wait for a response, and prefer written instructions, your best help option is the Ask a Question Form. You can send us your question using this form, and we will respond within twenty-four to seventy-two hours. This service is monitored during normal business hours. During the week, you can expect a quicker response time.
- time to plan ahead, your best help option is to schedule an appointment with a librarian. This one-on-one session can be done in person or virtually. These are great if you are new to library research, are starting a big project, or are looking for resources on a very specific topic.
